Only early adopters of HDR playback systems and video content specialists are likely to find this display’s HDR capability of use — and given the number of competing HDR formats, support for Dolby Vision might be expected as well as for HDR-10. Similarly the 10-bit capability is nice to have, but realising a fully 10-bit workflow is far from simple. Right now, when plugged into even a high-end general-purpose computer, neither HDR nor 10-bit colour are automatically of any benefit to the end user. However, the Brilliance 328P6AUBREB does provide a high-resolution display at a good price, arguably with some future proofing. Apple users could find the USB-C docking feature attractive.

I found it to be effective in making a subtle but appreciated reduction in ghosting but inserting those black images between frames has the effect of greatly reducing the brightness of the display. Even with brightness set at its max, the display looked dull with VRB enabled. And thatâs with it at its Normal setting; at the Extreme setting for VRB, the display looked really dim. Acer recommends running VRB at its Normal setting, and I concur. You also must have the display set at a 120Hz refresh rate in order to enable VRB, a useful bit of information not included in the displayâs user manual.
The LG UltraWide 5K display is not a true 5K display, in that it only features 5K resolution (5,120 lines) on the horizontal x-axis. On the y-axis, it features 2,160 lines of vertical resolution, which is more akin to that of a UHD 4K display.

When using the 2X zoom feature the pixels don’t look soft and this makes focusing really easy. Those 427 ppi really come into their own when getting critical focus, especially when shooting in UHD resolutions. I noticed a huge difference in just how much sharper the images looked when zoomed in 2:1 on the Ninja V when compared to the Shogun Inferno.

The outdoor-viewable 7-inch resistive touch screen display is large enough for real work and offers netbook-class 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The screen is very bright and crisp, resistant to smudges and fingerprints, and very effectively controls glare and reflections. We’d like to see a wider vertical viewing angle and a dual-input option, either resistive/electromagnetic, or electromagnetic/capacitive.
