Instead, consider increasing the resolution, dialing back compression, and getting ready for some wider color spaces. For photographers, your clients may be on the latest and greatest devices, so your images should look right at home on them.

I appreciate the tiny bezels of the LG 5K2K UltraWide, which really make the wide-screen display pop. The unit employs a design that’s similar to the edge to edge glass design found on the MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, the design on the LG34WK95U isn’t as clean, as you can see where the bezel areas meet in the corners of the display. It’s a small detail that you really have to look for, but I have to be honest and say it looks low-budget.

By keeping the power supply/control unit separated from the fixture you can also use the light on a much more compact and lightweight light stand which is a big plus. If you are going to keep the light in a case then it also makes little to no sense to have the power supply/control unit on the light.

The optional TransMount Phone Holder with Crown Gear really is a must if you are purchasing the Crane 3 Lab. I still can’t work out why they made this an optional accessory and charge $49 USD for it. It really should have been a standard accessory that is included with the gimbal.

On the RX10 III we found the AF to be a little sluggish in dimmer conditions, though overall for us this wasn’t a deal breaker. In fact, it’s one of the camera’s very few (not quite) negatives.
